Enterprise and Citizenship
We have an Eco Committee. People from the island come to our meetings. We write the minutes ourselves. We have made some changes in our school. We have put re- cycled paper towels in the toilets. We collect and re-cycle waste paper and we collect batteries from people on the island.
Local businesses sponsored our calendar. We make Paper pots out of newspaper for our plants.
The Calendar is available from the school. We sell plants at our Open Days.

We have an Open Day every year in the summer. We have a Christmas Concert and lunch.
ABOUT SOME OF OUR ENTERPRISE PROJECTS

Our greenhouse is made from plastic bottles. We will grow plants in the greenhouse. People in North Ronaldsay collected the bottles for us and people came to help us join the pieces together.
We would like to thank everybody for all their help!

SPONSORED WALK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE FATIMA MALAIKA INTSTITUTE IN MALAWI
We walked from the lighthouse to the school and raised over £100
We made a DVD and a CD to sell. It contains information about our island and photographs. We composed the music on the DVD.
 
The CD is available from the school.
BLUE PETER TV liked our DVD. They came to our island and we made a film which was shown on National TV.

PUBLISHING A BOOK OF STORIES.
We went to Eday School and enjoyed music and drama activities. We sold our book of stories

We wrote stories and emailed them to each other and wrote some comments about the stories.
SEA AND STONE!!!
We were part of a production in Kirkwall arts Theatre. Our production was Sea and Stone. We were pirates. Eday, Papay, Rousay and North Ronaldsay all took part. People came to watch and enjoyed the show. PEEDIE SCHOOLS TRAVELLING ART GALLERY
We cut up old rags and prodded them through holes to make a rug. We designed our rug in bands of colour. We chose light blues for the sky, dark blues and greens for the sea and yellows for the sand. We used different colours for the Old Beacon.
